THE EXPERIENCER CENTER
A nature retreat for experiencers
June 19-24, 2026
Spokane, WA
This summer we are hosting our very first experiencer gathering here on the land. This isn’t a luxury retreat. It isn’t a polished resort experience. It’s something more real. Come for a few days. Stay the whole time.
This is a chance to unplug, reconnect with nature, and spend time with others who understand your experiences. We do need committed headcounts in advance so we can prepare food, tents, and space properly, so please RSVP as soon as you can.
If you’ve been craving connection under big skies — this is your invitation.

If you’re flying in and can’t bring sleeping gear, we offer a $150 bedding donation option, which includes:
-
Twin mattress pad
-
Pillow
-
4-season duvet insert and cover or sleeping bag
We see this as a donation toward building our center and making future retreats possible.
Please let us know ASAP if you need camping accomodations
**Update: Most of the people RSVPing are choosing to stay in their own tent vs the communal sleeping tent. Rather than spend money on communal bell tents we decided to to purchase a permanent 14x40' structure to kick start our center. We likely won't have it completely finished out but it will be a covered structure for to us to gather.

Costs
We want this to be affordable for our TEN family.
There is no nightly retreat rate.
We ask:
-
$25 per day to cover food and shared meal preparation
-
Optional $150 bedding donation if we provide your sleep setup. Please let us know ASAP if you want this type of support.
This structure allows us to host gatherings without excluding people based on cost, while still supporting the land and our long-term vision.
Getting here
Flying
Our closest airport is the Spokane International Airport
We are about 2 hours north of Spokane.
You do not need to rent a car if you’re trying to keep the trip affordable. There is a bus to Kettle Falls, our nearest town.
Bus Details: Gold line website
-
$29 one way
-
Reservation required
-
11:05 AM (recommended)
-
5:20 PM
If you take the later bus, you’ll be dropped off outside and the Apple Warehouse (the indoor waiting spot) will be closed.
We can pick you up in Kettle Falls.
If you need to stay overnight in Spokane, we highly recommend exploring downtown — it’s built around the Spokane River with massive waterfalls and beautiful walking paths. Let us know and we can make recommendations.
If you take the bus and are waiting in Kettle Falls for us to pick you up, you can spend time at The Old Apple Warehouse — a 3-story vintage and antique store with an amazing coffee shop inside. It’s one of our favorite local spots.
Directions
If you're driving yourself and need an address and directions, please RSVP and let us know. We will reach out privately.
Food
We will prepare one hot communal meal each day for everyone. For your other meals, there will be a selection of casual, make-your-own or quick-heat options available. All meals we provide will be gluten-free and vegetarian. If you would like meat, you are welcome to bring it and cook it on the grill.
Breakfast will be self-serve, but we will provide options like: fruit , toast and bagels, nut butters and jams, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, coffee and creamers
Lunch and snack food: sandwiches, veggies, hummus, chips, microwave burritos and hot pockets, salad ingredients.
We ask for $25 per day to help cover food and preparation costs.
Cooking facilities
We are building an outdoor kitchen space with electricity for:
-
Coffee pot
-
Water kettle
-
Microwave
-
Toaster
-
Grill
Fridge space will be limited, but you are welcome to bring special food if needed.
Bathroom and
shower facilities
We will have:
-
Two porto potties on the land
-
An outdoor hot-water shower
Taking a shower outside — hearing the creek, looking up at the trees — is something you just have to experience.
Please bring:
-
Your own towel
-
Shower shoes (there are pine needles along the path). Going barefoot to the shower is not recommended.
We will provide environmentally safe soaps and shampoos so you don't have to travel with them, but feel free to bring your own.
Things to do
Hiking & Exploring
We have 46 acres of land to explore.
Our land used to be a small town in the 1940s — there are still treasures and remnants to discover.
There are also beautiful nearby hikes in both the US and Canada, including a large waterfall that should be roaring this time of year.
Swimming & Tubing
We live within walking distance of the Kettle River — one of the last living, undammed rivers in the country. It’s fed by snowmelt from the mountains in Canada. Floating the river can be amazing — but conditions depend on snowpack and current strength. Early summer sometimes brings strong currents.
If river conditions aren’t safe:
-
We have a creek for cooling off (not swimming)
-
There’s a sandy river beach 15 minutes down the road
Safety always comes first.

CE5 & Sky watching
This is a great place to do CE5. Because we are far from city light, the skies are incredibly dark — ideal for stargazing and craft watching.
As a group, we can decide how many nights we want to do.
We take safety seriously. Before any contact attempt, we conduct grounding practices such as a Puja ceremony and energy clearing. If you’re unfamiliar with Puja, we encourage you to look it up beforehand so you know what to expect.
Participation is always optional.

Connection practices
Chris will likely hold at least one meditation daily (optional).
If there’s interest, he can also lead Qigong sessions — drawing energy from nature while getting a surprisingly good leg workout.
We may:
-
Drum around a fire (if no fire ban)
-
Offer gratitude ceremonies to honor the land
-
Experiment with remote viewing
-
Yoga if anyone is willing to lead
This is meant to be a collaborative, open space.
If you have a practice you’d like to offer, please let us know
Natural building
We hope to begin our first earthbag structure during this season.
If construction is underway, we may designate limited optional time to help build.
This is not a work retreat — participation would be capped and fully optional.
Optional Canada excursions
Passport required. No felony record permitted for border crossing.
Ainsworth Hot Springs
2 hours away through a beautiful mountain pass. If there’s enough interest and vehicles available, a small overnight trip could be arranged.
Fletcher Creek Falls*
Stunning waterfall hike and lakeside views near Ainsworth.
*Shown in the video
Nelson, BC
Charming mountain town with great food and scenery.
Christina Lake
Short drive for lakeside ice cream and sunset.
